Job Description

As our Chief Operating Officer, you will be the CEO’s closest partner in playing a key role at the heart of Qomon, ensuring the success and growth of our company.

Your role will be strategic in the execution of company goals and strategy across all dimensions (product, operations, finance, go-to-market, etc.). You will ensure operational, managerial, and financial performance, and will also be involved in shaping our GREAT ambitions for Qomon on both sides of the Atlantic.

We’re still early on the journey and have much to do in a fast-paced environment, within a truly interesting sector (nonprofit & politics), and as an international company with a global presence in 70 countries, which makes this role exciting & truly unique.

Being early in our journey means this will be a hands-on role, involving both day-to-day missions and high-level strategic missions, and should be approached with a true “entrepreneur” mindset.

YOUR MISSIONS

OPERATIONS & MANAGEMENT

  • Operations

    • Ensure smooth operation and performance across the organization.
    • Own our company methods, process and operations
    • Oversee the execution of company roadmaps and projects with different teams and be accountable. Be accountable on the execution of those projects.
  • Team and Leadership Support:

    • Understand, nurture and spread company culture and ensure that everyone on the team has everything they need to develop to their full given potential.
    • Serve as the link between teams, ensuring seamless communication and alignment on strategic objectives and company strategy
    • Engage, lead, provide insights in cross-team projects, providing leadership and innovation.
    • Animate internal routines: you will be at the core of our company’s rituals and help set, prepare and animate recurring moments like our "100 days", Monday digest etc.
    • Lead by example and with a positive mindset

FINANCE

The role needs solid financial and analytical skills, so being great with Excel and having a sharp analytical mindset are big advantages.

  • Managing day-to-day operations, financial reporting, and collaborating with the CEO to refine our business model and make key strategic decisions to achieve our objectives and business plan.

  • Preparing key presentations for the team and board members.

  • Running analytics to guide decisions on pricing, future markets, spending; establishing and tracking budgets.

  • Working closely with our CFO as a Service, legal advisors, and accountants in France and the US to ensure compliance, timely reporting, process improvements, and managing payroll.

As a COO, your role is to ensure things happen quickly and efficiently, and to be a helper wherever needed.

  • Do the groundwork for potential future projects: you will do some prep-work on specific topics before they potentially turn into projects.

Preferred Experience

REQUIRED

  • Having at least 7 years of professional experience with relevant XP in shaping and scaling company.

  • English is mandatory; native English speakers are welcome.

  • Motivation and good vibes; be energetic and positive in your communication.

  • Have a genuine passion for innovation, whether in digital but also management techniques.

  • Good Excel and analytics skills.

  • Be methodical, organized, reliable and attention to details.

  • Resilience: Don't be afraid of challenges and in general don't be afraid.

  • Quick Learner: Ability to rapidly assimilate new information and adapt to new challenges and environments.

  • Mission-Driven: Aligns personally and professionally with the company’s goals and values, motivated by the opportunity to make a significant impact.

  • High Autonomy

REALLY NICE TO HAVE

  • Beeing a Former entrepreneur is a plus, or at least experience in strategy, project management, or operations.

  • Experience in the SaaS and/or in our industry is a plus.

  • True Passion for our sector

  • Experience working with the US market

  • Communication Excellence: excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate clear and compelling messages to diverse audiences.

Recruitment Process

1️⃣ A first 20-minute phone call with the CEO to understand your project and answer your most important questions about Qomon.

2️⃣ A longer interview to delve into the details of the position and address any questions (either via video call or in-person)

  • A demo of our product and the opportunity to interact with another team member who is not involved in the recruitment process, and if you visit the office, a coffee with your potential coworkers.

3️⃣ A Use Case Interview with the 2 cofounders

4️⃣ Final call with one or two of our advisors
