The role

Qomon is looking for an experienced Backend Engineer to join a human-sized, experienced, and genuinely mission-driven engineering team. You'll be embedded in a Product team (Product Leader, Designer, Back, Front and Mobile developers), work on complex systems, build reliable solutions, and take real ownership, not just tickets.

Your two core focuses: shipping great new features to our users, and keeping the platform healthy, scalable, and running well.

Every feature you build helps nonprofits and political organizations mobilize volunteers, engage supporters, raise funds, and drive real-world action.

Our backend stack includes: Golang (Microservices), PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, KrakenD, RabbitMq, Redis, Dagster, etc. More infra related: Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, Gitlab CI/CD, Monitoring (Telegraf + Influxdb + Grafana, Zabbix).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write production-level backend code in Golang (nice to have, not a hard requirement)

  • You'll become the primary backend partner of a Product Pod (with a Product Leader, a Product Designer, Front and Mobile Developers) and help shape both technical and product decisions

  • Contribute to the product roadmap and collaborate on the design of upcoming features

  • Partner with our CSM and AE teams to help find the right technical solutions for clients and prospects

  • Build, test, and improve our APIs, utilities, and backoffice features, with a strong emphasis on reliability and scalability

  • Work on CI/CD, monitoring, and system health as part of our DevOps practices

  • Own your deliverables end to end: from database modeling and query optimization to data integrity across systems

  • Deliver new features autonomously, with rigor and a strong sense of ownership

  • Comfortable in both BUILD and RUN mode, and not afraid of legacy code (everyone has some)

  • Collaborate closely with the broader engineering team across backend and frontend

  • Get deeply familiar with the full backend architecture at Qomon

Profil recherché

What Sets You Apart:

  • Previous Golang experience is a plus, but we are equally interested in strong backend engineers willing to learn Go

  • Proficient and passionate about backend development, eager to take on new technical challenges

  • Autonomous and rigorous: you deliver features end to end and you finish things

  • Professional-level English, B2 minimum, C1 preferred

  • Passion & true curiosity for technology, digital innovation, and AI

  • Interest in civic and citizen-driven organizations (a bonus, not a requirement)

  • Willing to join the team in the beautiful city of Bordeaux. The current general company rule is at least 3 days in the office a week

We know that no candidate checks every box. If you're excited about this role and believe you can contribute to Qomon's mission, we encourage you to apply.
